Jayne’s puppy raising foundation started through a service dog lens. Since the Service Dog renaissance in the 70’s, training organizations have honed in on the perfect series of experiences a puppy to have at every life stage, starting before they’re even born!

She was able to see whole generations of dogs go through those programs and watch multiple litters be born, grow up, and get placed as working dogs.

Alongside that she saw the vacuum of knowledge in the pet dog puppy training world, where course methods were often significantly out of date.

Having raised all 5 of their dogs since puppyhood and been involved in the raising service dog puppies, Jayne is very familiar with the chaos and confusion of navigating that life stage on the human end of the leash.

As part of her bachelor’s degree, Jayne completed in a variety of working/sports training intensives. These included instruction from a herding dog trainer, a police/bite sport trainer, agility trainers, a search and rescue dog trainer, a guide dog trainer, and expert detection dog trainers.

Through her career she has competed at a hobby level in a variety of sports. All of her dogs have done agility, disk work, tricks training, and competiton-level obedience training.

Jayne has had a decade of experience with helping awkward, nervous, or confrontational dogs build a better mindset towards other dogs.

She believes that social learning from role model mentor dogs is the best way to heal the canine mind.

Whether a dog is a puppy, an adolescent, or an adult being able to interact in natural ways with other dogs is a spectacular source of enrichment for us to give them.

As part of her Bachelor’s degree, Jayne completed a 3 month long nutrition & physiology intensive with a Veterinarian.

Jayne is in the process of completing an intensive with masters in canine clinical nutrition expert Dr Linda Case of The Science Dog.

Jayne is in the process of completing a professional masters of nutrition certifying nutrition focused Veterinary professionals most up to date raw and ancestral feeding.

In the process of completing a certification course on fresh & raw feeding with ___ designed to expand the knowledge of veterinary professionals

Jayne’s primary 2026 education goal is to completing the Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist program from NC State college of Veterinary Medicine.
